TST 507 Tire Pressure Monitoring System Review: Is It Worth It for Truckers?
by the Trucker Gear Lab crew
Best for: Tractors and trailers with many tires

My quick take
I'll be straight with you. Watching all my tire pressures and temps from the cab has caught a slow leak before it turned into a blowout. Tires are one of your biggest costs after fuel. Running low on pressure eats tread, burns fuel and blows out at the worst time.
I don't care about fancy boxes or a long list of features nobody uses. What matters out here is simple: does it work when you need it, does it hold up to the bouncing and the heat and the cold, and is it worth what you pay? That's how I looked at the TST 507 Tire Pressure Monitoring System. If you already know this is the one, you can check the current price on Amazon here and skip the rest.

What I like about it
- Covers big rigs
- Temp alerts
- Repeater for long trailers
Those are the things that actually make a difference on a long run. A lot of drivers I talk to say the same thing: once you have one that works, you stop thinking about it — and that's the whole point. Plenty of reviews on the TST 507 Tire Amazon page back that up, so it's worth a read if you want more opinions.
What I don't like
- Sensors add up
- Battery changes
No product is perfect, and I'd rather tell you now than have you find out at a truck stop at 2 a.m. For most drivers these aren't deal-breakers, but they matter depending on how you run.
Before you buy
Get a gauge that reads up to at least 160 PSI with a dual-foot chuck for inside duals. For TPMS, check how many sensors it supports.
Who should buy it (and who shouldn't)
Buy the TST 507 Tire Pressure Monitoring System if you're one of the tractors and trailers with many tires. That's who it's built for, and that's where it shines. If one of the downsides above is a big deal for you, look at the other picks in Tires & Inflation — there's probably a better fit. Still on the fence? See what other drivers are saying about it — the questions section is gold.
My bottom line
The TST 507 Tire Pressure Monitoring System earns a 4.5 out of 5 from me. It's not about having the most expensive gear — it's about having gear that doesn't let you down when the load's on the line. For tractors and trailers with many tires, this is an easy one to recommend.
Don't wait until you need it
Get the TST 507 Tire Pressure Monitoring System before your next run
The worst time to shop for gear is when you're broke down on the shoulder. Order it now, have it shipped to your house or a terminal, and it's in the cab when it counts. Amazon's return policy has your back if it isn't right for your truck.
