Clore Truck PAC ES1224 12/24V Jump Starter Review: Is It Worth It for Truckers?
by the Trucker Gear Labs crew
Best for: Fleets and shops jumping big diesels daily

My quick take
I'll be straight with you. The Truck PAC is built for Class 8 work. Switchable 12/24V and cables long enough to reach battery boxes without moving the pack. A dead battery at a shipper at 4 a.m. costs you a tow, a missed appointment and maybe the load. A pack that can really crank a big diesel is cheap insurance.
I don't care about fancy boxes or a long list of features nobody uses. What matters out here is simple: does it work when you need it, does it hold up to the bouncing and the heat and the cold, and is it worth what you pay? That's how I looked at the Clore Truck PAC ES1224 12/24V Jump Starter. If you already know this is the one, you can check the current price on Amazon here and skip the rest.

What I like about it
- Made for big rigs
- 12V/24V switch
- Long pro cables
Those are the things that actually make a difference on a long run. A lot of drivers I talk to say the same thing: once you have one that works, you stop thinking about it — and that's the whole point. Plenty of reviews on the Clore Truck PAC Amazon page back that up, so it's worth a read if you want more opinions.
What I don't like
- Heavy
- Expensive
No product is perfect, and I'd rather tell you now than have you find out at a truck stop at 2 a.m. For most drivers these aren't deal-breakers, but they matter depending on how you run.
Before you buy
Look at real cranking amps, not the giant 'peak' number on the box, and make sure it handles the cold. A 12V-only pack won't help a 24V system.
Who should buy it (and who shouldn't)
Buy the Clore Truck PAC ES1224 12/24V Jump Starter if you're one of the fleets and shops jumping big diesels daily. That's who it's built for, and that's where it shines. If one of the downsides above is a big deal for you, look at the other picks in Jump Starters & Power — there's probably a better fit. Still on the fence? See what other drivers are saying about it — the questions section is gold.
My bottom line
The Clore Truck PAC ES1224 12/24V Jump Starter earns a 4.6 out of 5 from me. It's not about having the most expensive gear — it's about having gear that doesn't let you down when the load's on the line. For fleets and shops jumping big diesels daily, this is an easy one to recommend.
Don't wait until you need it
Get the Clore Truck PAC ES1224 12/24V Jump Starter before your next run
The worst time to shop for gear is when you're broke down on the shoulder. Order it now, have it shipped to your house or a terminal, and it's in the cab when it counts. Amazon's return policy has your back if it isn't right for your truck.

NOCO
NOCO Boost GB150 3000A Jump Starter
4.7/5 · Best for big diesels up to about 9 liters
The one most drivers I know end up with. It cranks a cold diesel and holds a charge for months behind the seat.

NOCO
NOCO Boost Max GB500+ 6250A 12V/24V Jump Starter
4.8/5 · Best for fleets and 24v systems
Overkill for one truck, but if you run 24V or jump other people's rigs, nothing else comes close.

Clore
Clore Jump-N-Carry JNC770R
4.6/5 · Best for drivers who want a classic lead-acid pack
Old school, heavy and tough. Long cables and real clamps make it easy to reach the batteries.
